You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the Canada Toronto mission. It is anticipated that you will serve for a period of 18 months.
You should report to the Provo Missionary Training Center on Wednesday, September 24, 2014. You will prepare to preach the gospel in the Enlish language. Your assignment may be modified according to the needs of the mission president.
I have been waiting to read those words my whole life and here they are on a piece of paper with my name on it!!!
My family was working in the yard again this morning when we got a call from the post office. You would've though I was trying to fly if you'd seen me jumping up and down and flapping my hands when my mom announced "It's a good day to check the mail!" haha... I was a little excited.
The hardest part was the waiting. Waiting two hours to finish the yard work before going to the mailbox and waiting until 5:00 to open it with family and friends. But really, what's a few hours compared to 37 days (plus my whole life) of waiting for the call to actually arrive?? :)
I had no idea where I was going to go before I opened that big white beautiful envelope, but let me tell ya; when I read 'Toronto' it felt right. I basically cried my whole way through reading it aloud... and then cried a lot after I had finished too. The spirit was so strong and I know that Toronto is where I'm supposed to go! Mission calls are divinely inspired. The Lord calls you to the area He needs you most and I feel that I have been called with a purpose; To help others come unto Christ and to recieve the joy of the gospel.
I look forward to meeting all of the people that I am meant to help, as well as all the people who are meant to help me!

Just to end this blog entry I figure should express all the deep down feelings I'm containing about my call right now:
I'M GOING TO TORONTO!!!!!!!! :D AHHHHHHHH!!!! Words cannot even express my feelings right now. PLUS I report the day after my 19th BIRTHDAY!! <3
